Spring is finally here!
Spring has always held a special place in my heart. There really is something fascinating, and perhaps somewhat magical that happens in spring. The metaphorical power of the changing of the seasons has never in my life ceased to amaze me. As the earth is gradually resuscitated from its dreadful state, it may almost begin to seem as if life is slowly being breathed back into its inhabitants. The forlorn stares of lost faces are replaced by subtle smiles and the appearance of renewed hope. People begin to walk with an extra spring in their step, long unseen throughout the harsh days of winter. Blades of grass begin to break through the frozen earth and trees begin to bud, the first signs that the Earth has finally begun its long-awaited resistance against Father Winter.

Still looks a bit chilly there, but your description convinces me that spring is really on it's way. We have had enough warm weather to melt the snow, only to have the temps drop again and threaten us with more snow. Tornados left a trail of damage just north of us a few days ago.
