About a week ago, I went to an art exhibit called "Projections of Reality" (in English). The exhibit was set up as a series of rooms with a projector and a screen which showed a documentary slide show. There were rooms with shows about homeless kids in Russia, immigrants in Russia, US soldiers in Iraq, Danish soldiers in Afghanistan, and Chinese coal miners (just to name a few).
The name of the exhibit in Russia (shown here) translates to something like "collision with the Unknown." Pretty cool name, I suppose.
Each slideshow featured a screen and a projector. There was dialogue and a bit of music in the background.
Here is a picture of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior at Kropotkinskaya, not far from where the exhibition took place.

This is a picture of the street Krasnaya Presnaya, not far from the Metro Station Ulitsa 1905 Goda. I had forgotten how many advertisements are in this city until I took a look at this picture. It is impossible to take two steps in any direction without running into an advertisement.
This is a picture of some sort of memorial near Ulitsa 1905 Goda. I'm sure it has some sort of special meaning related to the r, but I was really too lazy to investigate. If you are interested, here is a link to an article on the Russian Revolution in 1905: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1905_Russian_Revolution.

And finally, I surprised Vicka and took her to a hockey game. Spartak (from Moscow) was playing Lokomotiv (from Yaroslavl). I had to wait an hour and a half to get tickets, but I think it was worth it. Vicka didn't hate hockey, so I would consider the night a success. Spartak lost though.
